How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • We use this information to fulfil our contractual obligations and provide tailored services to our clients. We may also use personal data to communicate with clients regarding our services and to improve our service offerings.
  • We pass personal data onto relevant third parties (our clients) in order for candidates to be considered for the role.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting md@researcheurope.co.uk
  • We have a legitimate interest – the data is used to present candidate profiles to our client as per contractual obligations

Data Storage and Processing

Research Europe takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data. We store personal data securely on our servers, which are located within the UK and EU.

We may process personal data using third-party service providers (e.g. cloud service providers, payment processors) who comply with GDPR and have appropriate security measures in place.

Data Protection Officer

Research Europe has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who is responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR. The DPO can be contacted at md@researcheurope.co.uk.

This GDPR policy is reviewed and updated as necessary to ensure continued compliance with GDPR and any relevant legislation.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
